OK so you’re a fan of The Big Bang Theory and saw Dr. Sheldon Cooper drawing his version of the Higgs Bosum particle playing Pictionary with his team mate Penny. Here’s a couple of images to help you better understand the recent discovery of this subatomic particle.
CERN in Switzerland has a Large Hedron Collider (seen below) which was designed to hurl two beams of protons at each other in hopes of finding the elusive particle:
